You forgot
"the wrong type of snow fell" and
"the track is under water" which have both been used...
I knew a train manager. he's the one who washes the blood off the train...

On the Waterloo & City Line they apologised very solemnly once for any delays which were due to leaves on the line. This seemed improbable given that it is an Underground - then we realised that it was April 1.
